Particle Board Removal on Casita

Has anyone ever dealt with removing particle board and breathing the fibers that end up floating in the air? I took out the particle board just inside the door next to the refrigerator on my Casita. In doing so the board was decentigrating and its fibers were floating in the air which I was breathing. I should have worn a mask but didn't. It took no more that 20-25 minutes, but the damage was done. My throat is very irritated and almost raw. Plus, I'm afraid its affecting my respiratory system.

My question is, how long did this condition last or do you still suffer from its effects? I'm hoping my body deals with it and it goes away soon. My wife and I leave on a European vacation in less than two weeks and I hope I'm well by then. Any info on the subject from you good people?

Thanks,
Hutch
