pet cool air cond

Hi: Just purchased a U Haul 13 CT, have'nt even really looked at it yet. Has anyone ever attempted to install a"PET Cool air conditioner" in one? I have the pet cool left over from a teardrop camper and thought I'd make the best use of it. Any thoughts would be appreciated. thanks. h,mike

Here's a link to a very interesting discussion: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...ing-32305.html

and here's another that shows a picture with the vents added in the rear cabinets: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...-ac-41187.html

Hope this helps.

The Uhauls do not have insulation in them, I'm not so sure that the petcool could keep up with the heat gain on very warm days. You may be better with a regular air conditioner.

If I already had the pet cooler I'd try it through a window with a temporary template, just to test it. After all, it is made for a dog house/kennel and they aren't insulated. My pet cooler can freeze us out of our tear if we leave it on all night! I had to get a plug in thermostat and a remote control so I could turn it off from the inside at night, and regulate the temp. better!
