I have powder coated my stove top in The Road Toad. Cost about $35 at a hot rod/ custom shop. He sand-blasted it, powder coated white then clear coated it. Looks good, only problem, I used BBQ
paint (his suggestion) on the metal burner top inserts which clip in. The vibration on a long trip caused a little wear through where the two parts meet and left little black scratches. Now we take the inserts out for travel. If I were to do the stove over (which I still might) I'd use black powder coat.
All that being said, the price was right, it looks better than rusty chrome, and we hardly ever cook inside anyway.
