repair scratches from spare tire on fiberglass

relocating the spare and the fiberglass has small scratches from the tire letters rubbing on it....actually looks like dirt and you can make out the letters from the sidewall. tried cleaners and even wd-40. suggestions???? tx

I have the same thing. I wonder if a Magic Eraser would work? It may be abrasive, I dont know.

Sunlight may bleach it out eventually. Or you could hide it behind a spare tire. But this time wrap it in a bin liner before you put the rear cover on...

Tire scratches

I noticed early on that road dirt settling between tire cover and back wall of trailer was scratching the gellcoat. I tried to compound the scratches out but couldn’t do it. I waxed the area and then covered it with white duct tape, then re-installed the spare. Though it is only a stop gap measure it should stop further damage to the gelcoat !

Tire scratches

Two products I have used with great success are Meguiar's scratch x20 @ local auto parts stores and Flitz compound which is more expensive but great on fiberglass. Research both and good luck.
