I know there's been a lot of discussion about what to use when sealing rivets (or rivets vs. bolts, etc), but haven't found much talk about more permanent alternatives. Couldn't one just cover the bolt head (the ones going through the cabinets) with a little bit of Bondo body filler or fiberglass/resin and sand it smooth? I'm sure there's the potential for a rivet to break in the future but seems to me the slim possibility of having to drill/touch-up
paint in the future is outweighed by the decreased leak potential.
I'm needing to repaint anyways, so just wondering if this would be a viable alternative.
