Scamp 13 Axle Style Changes?

Hello,
Would anyone be able to tell me if the arm from their axle to the wheel is angled up or down? This information would be very useful to me. I am trying to find out if in fact all Scamp 13's after 1990 angle the arm to the wheel up. Thank you, Mike

Ah, so it looks like Scamp uses a trailing arm axle now. The Boler 13's (that I know of) use a leading arm axle (that way the axle itself tucks up under the dinette floor). I would guess (?) that earlier Scamps also used a leading-arm axle -- if so, I wonder when the change was made?

This would be one reason why an older Scamp or a Boler could sit lower (overall height) even if the axle were not in bad condition (although of course many older axles could stand to be replaced).

With the leading arm axle, I believe the arms would point down; at least that makes sense in looking at your photo and imagining the axle running up under the dinette floor.

So maybe that explains the current Scamp axles having arms that angle the opposite way

Thanks Joe,
Interesting that they have gone to a trailing arm. I still would like to see a pic or find out if 90's era arms go up or down if anyone can help. Mike
