Scamp gelcoat translucent?

I was in the process of putting my liner back on my scamp and I noticed that the light comes through the fiberglass pretty effectively. Which means it's coming through the gel coat. does that mean my gel coat becoming too thin or does gelcoat actually allow light through

Gel coat lets light through. So does fibreglass. Put the liner back and relax.

Now if I can just get them lighter back. Oh well I've got a lot of it. :-)
