VIM is a household batroom & kitchen cleaner. The one with a bit of javex is good. A damp cloth and a bit of Vim and a little elbow grease does a great job on the calky residue.

I'll try to upload picture or two tonight. Say a close up and something from a few feet back.

I think a key piece is the Red Max or Zep, the reflective shine makes it harder to see any flaws. Since the raised part under the stickers also tends to be smoother than the weathered part the way those polishes "fill in" the pits in the surface and make whole surface smooth also helps.
