Shower?

The pipe leading from the shower to the trap has gotten brittle and I need to replace it. How should I go about putting in a new one? 2002 Casita FD.

My suggestion would be to talk to Larry Gamble at Little House Customs. He has a lot of experience with these issues and I'm sure he can hook you up with whatever you need to get you fixed up and running again.

Are you talking about the flexible p-trap? Usually grey or black in color? If so you can usually find a replacement at Home Depot or Lowe’s. But you should consider changing to a Hepvo valve. Parts and instructions available at Little House Customs.

Pipe.

Nope. Not the flexible trap, but the plastic pipe to which it's attached that leads to the shower. It has gotten brittle and is cracking. The trap is fine.

Sounds like a basic plumbing problem that can be fixed with parts from any supply store or big box store. It will a be tight space to work in but pipe and a couple of repair coupling that go on with hose clamp should fix you right up.

Thanks!

Yeah, I finally got it fixed up. It was pretty simple once I got to work on it.
