Question summer storage

Hello Bigfooters and all you fibreglass RV fun seekers! A question from a newbie. What is the best way to store grey, black and fresh water tanks over the summer and or winter. We are spring and fall campers. Leave some water in the tanks? Dry? Add some chemicals with water? Just not sure. At the moment they are flushed and dry. With thanks, trapper

Question summer storage

OK OK, if this is secret info, it is time to spill the beans! Everybody cannot be on holiday. If is is secret info, just send the code with the answer and I will work on figuring it out. At the moment I have a little water in the tanks and and empty fresh water tank, so all appears well until someone corrects my care and feeding habits of the baby Bigfoot. Cheers, trapper

It is summer, and a weekend. Patience...

I'm interested to hear, too. I wonder if sitting dry for too long will dry out and crack seals. It would make sense to have a small amount of clean(ish) water in the bottom of the grey & black tanks, but I'm not sure either.

I keep the black & gray tank empty making full use of the dump stations.
Fresh water tank in summer I carry some water but not much. In winter all tanks should be empty and plumbers antifreeze flushed through and left so there is no chance the pump or lines can freeze. I also only use my trailer in spring and fall.

Some people blow the lines clear rather than putting antifreeze in for winter.
