I'm thinking it must be difficult to ignore all those air horns from the truckers lined up behind you waiting for the scale.

I bought a new 450# scale on Ebay for $20 cuz my TW is 365# and it works great. Glenn, I used the spare change and got some beer .

There are lots of scales here in the U.S. that are left on all of the time. It's self service with no one in the scale house. In fact one scale that I have used does not even have a scale house. I've never had to wait for anyone in front of me and never slowed anyone down who was behind me because there never has been anyone behind me. Things must be different in Canada.

Leverage.

The battery isn't installed right over the tongue. It's back some. The farther back from the hitch, the less it effects the tongue weight.

The total weight of the trailer gets heavier by the weight of the battery but the proportion of the added weight on the tongue varies on its position. Set it behind the axle and the tongue weight goes down.

Hmmmm...I've been thinking. Do you smell wood burning?

I have a Scamp 13 std. Battery and 20 pd propane tank on front. Used on of those shurline tongue weight scales (think that's the name) and got 185# of tongue weight. If that weight is ideally supposed to be 10 to 15% of trailer weight, then can I work backwards and assume my trailer is perhaps 10 times that weight less the battery and propane? So if batt weighed 30 and propane another 30 (I'm making this up) then subtract that and trailer might weigh around 1250 pounds and a little more?

Just wondered if the whole weighing thing could be estimated that weigh. Now don't beat me up people.

Reminds me of grade 6 math and I got tired of doing repetitive arithmetic questions on a test so I estimated most of them.
Got an 'F'.
