We had our beautiful little 76 transported to Ottawa. Unfortunately, some of the other cargo on the flatbed came loose and crunched into her. It seemed to hit her right on the belly band, so she has a dent in the front both above and below and the belly band is dented in, but the fibreglass is not cracked at all. Also, the back window is pushed out at the bottom, but also not cracked. We need to get estimates from 2 repair places in the Ottawa (Canada) area, then get it fixed. Can anyone recommend a good place or two to take our poor, sweet baby? We are in Osgoode (just south of Ottawa) but anywhere in the general Ottawa area would be fine.
Thanks in advance!

Any body shop should be able to do do your repairs if there is any fiberglass damage. If the back plexiglass has just popped out you might try a "Speedy Autoglass" Dealer in your area. The trim may need to be bent back into shape manually. You might try a marine repaire as well.
Sounds like she took quite a wack and had some compression. Check inside to see if the seats. cupboards or kitchen unit have come loose as well.

Hi,
Sorry to hear of the mishap to you Boler. We too have some fiberglass damage, from a running hit by a new driver backing into us. It scratched somewhat and tore off our rear awning holder. But you should see the mess he made of his Dodge Neon back bumper. HA!
As "it don't hurt the running of it none", we haven't done anything beyond looking in the Yellow Pages under Fiberglass Repairs and seeing Hurst Marina (Manotick) listed.
Your Boler seems to need immediate attention. Can we follow your adventures? Please keep the forum posted.

I,m in Caledon, so waaaaaaaaay tooooo far for me to do the job.
However, pretty much any body shop,or anyone who has done any type of fiberglass repairs should be able to do that small job for you.

For fiberglass advice, these guys in Ottawa seem to know their stuff and might be able to recommend a shop or two. http://www.gelcote.com

Thanks guys -- Ulysse for your kind thoughts, and Daniel for that positive lead. In the spring when we get through the snow, "out of the driveway and onto the parkway" we'll follow it. Des

Hey, this one's for us! Thanks Caroline for a current reply to an '08 inquiry. We have put it on file.
If anyone is interested, I found the mangled support bracket in the ditch, pounded it back into shape, bolted it back on the frame, and unless you look closely, its as good as new.
Good luck with your shopping.
