I've never seen an Intellipower 9100 personally, but they have been mentioned often in previous discussions. As already mentioned, the Inteli-Power 9100 from Progressive Dynamics is a converter, perhaps the stock one installed by Scamp. Yours looks like the 9140, which can put out 40 amps of DC power. When you are plugged in to "shore power" (an outside source of AC power), this box uses that AC power to provide DC power for whatever needs it instead of running down the battery; it also recharges the battery at the same time. When you are not plugged into shore power, this box has nothing to do: the battery runs the 12V DC stuff, and there is no source of AC power.

Moderators/Administrators: Since the Inteli-Power converter is common egg equipment, and a frequent subject of discussion, should the above link be added to Helpful-Links, perhaps in a new Electrical Power section, or a modification of the Battery Monitoring Electronics and Products section?

Information is good. Lack of information is not so good, but misinformation is much worse. Check facts, and apply common sense liberally.

I think so. I had trouble coughing up the money for mine but so far it has worked flawlessly. It quite and does it's job well.
