Links still show up in Roger Kimbell's msg

Those links are still in R Kimbell's msg where he asks if any info on the UHaul VTs (he quoted the original msg)

Just out of curiosity, I went to the UHaul site through my own link, and immediately, my AVG security software popped up with a message box that it had blocked a security threat. I've never had that happen before.

UHaulCamper Site is haunted now!

Pam,
Even with your link! Apparently, something is going on over there which is a shame because there is really good info in the historical section.

As mentioned earlier, IF they would just get a decent moderator many of us would embrace that place as a home site. Looks like FGRV has turned into the place to be!!!

Don, It surprised me too. I have gone there in the past month without the threat pop up, so I don't know if it is a recent event, or something that keeps reoccurring. I had tried posting questions on there before, but no one was ever answering them. Guess I'm just FGRV spoiled.

UHaulCamper Site Haunted!!!

Pam, I just tried my old link and it took a long time for the website to appear but I got no security warnings. I will continue checking on it
over the next few weeks to see what gives. I agree with it being a recent
threat (Maybe it will cause them or whoever to straighten up!)

I'll try to send the moderator a note regarding all this and explain all the good UHaulers have jumped ship!

Email sent to Administrator at UHaul

I went on the website and sent an email to the admistrator over at the UHaulCamper.com about all the concerns including the recent security threats... We will see if there is even a reply...Thank Goodness for this FGRV!

I was going to buy the site before and open it up to everyone for free but the guy was making it hard . There isnt alot of traffic there mainly because he charges i'd guess.
Thing is there are alot of simular eggs that would maybe visit it and share if he opened it....way it is now with viruses and all...no one will or can really. I gave up.
I run a forum of my own as of last week for RC sailboats and getting members isnt easy at first....you need "content" to attract readers or posters or they pop in and leave.......uhaul forum also locked alot of info threads for some dumb reason......why else would people be there?
surprising its even there still......if there were enough interst i'd open a new domain with another name thats available......maybe

I like the variety of types of FG trailers at this site (and their wonderful owners). I'm actually more likely to stay with a site like FGRV because of the variety, rather than one that is limited to 'only' the ones like me.

An exclusively UHaul site would have to offer something this site doesn't. Right now I can't think of anything that is there that is not here.

The problem, as I see it with an exclusive forum is quantity. Are there really enough surviving U-Haul trailers around to support a vibrant forum? The Escape forum is the newbie in the forum world. It's just now starting to take off because there's been sufficient Escapes manufactured and sold to have constructive conversations.

In the end, molded trailers are more alike than different and typically one solution will work for many different brands.

There is a great person over on uhaulcamper who is very helpful, Forest Field. So, don't be afraid to post there if it is cleaned up. I am not sure how often Forest checks postings, but his information and that of the historical stuff is very useful over there. There used to be periods where there was a spell of active posters, but I have not seen that for a long time now. Maybe the viruses are the issue.

Pam,

He will post if he chooses. I know he reads stuff on this site periodically.

Send a message via Yahoo to Kevin A
I just went back to check the UHaulCamper site and don't get any virus alerts or messages. Everything seems to be working fine.

I noticed that the last message posted was Feb. 15, but I try to check at least once a week to see if anything new is there. I also seem to recall a message from Jim (the moderator) that the donation thing was ending, but now I can't find the message. I may be wrong.

I do like the Uhaul site just for its focus on our trailers. I don't have to weed through lots of other posts to find specific information for UHauls. However, I, too, have used FiberglassRV almost exclusively the last several months since so many posters are here.
