All good ideas - I'd love to just put a dummy vent cover on it until I decide what to do with the space (we're going to camp in it a few times before we decide if a furnace is necessary or not), but I haven't found the correct size. I guess the new furnaces use a much smaller vent on the outside.

If we don't put a furnace in I'll be installing an exterior access door - it would be a good spot for all the set-up stuff.
