Hi all -

Just wondering if anyone has a good resource for exterior fixtures. Specifically, I need a fridge vent (current one reads: 'Dometic VT24-II), measuring 22" x 7 1/2"

Also, I require a Fridge access panel measuring 22"x11 1/2" and finally, a range hood vent. Mine is a tiny one, 9" x 4 1/2"

I've looked on ebay, and at the local RV places with no luck.

Cheers,
Mike

You might try this place, their prices seem good to me: PPL Vent Parts page

Thanks Donna -
From what I can see though they only supply roof vents (among other items) but no access vents, unless I'm overlooking them.

The Scamp Parts Store seem to have vent covers close to the measurements that you are looking for, can't say for sure.
Look in the appliance section.

Dometic parts

Page 3; both panels are sold as a kit. Print and take to RV parts store

Thanks gents -

I found that PDF as well, Dave - circa 1980 though.

Not sure if they will have these parts any more. I've emailed Dometic directly, but not holding my breath. The PDF lists a US equivalent part # to the Canadian part number I listed.

The scamp vents are close, but a little small.

Cheers,
Mike

The Fridge vent lower (15 1/8" x 23 1/4) looks bigger than yours (11-1/2 x 22")
http://shop.scamptrailers.com/p-166-dometi...410-rm2610.aspx

The upper (8 1/2" x 20 7/8") looks really close to your (7 1/2" x22")
http://shop.scamptrailers.com/p-162-dometi...193-rm2202.aspx

The range hood (10 1/2" x 3 5/8") compares pretty well to your (9" x 4 1/2)

http://shop.scamptrailers.com/p-154-outsid...range-hood.aspx

Unless you have some really tight ducting I don't think it's going to make any difference. I have no ducting at all. You just need to position things so you can access the pilot.

Regards,

Matt

Mike,

Keep me posted on what you find. All of my vents look pretty bad, and will really look bad once I've painted the exterior. If I see something good, I'll be sure to let you know as well.

Will do Carl.

I have two vents on order from Dometic from a local RV place. If they work, I'll let you know.

How did it work out Mike?
I didn't double check mine this weekend and it blew off on the highway somewhere. I am now looking for the lower one too.

Try RV Dr. George . The salvage yard is located in Sacramento. They have thousands of grills, grates, doors, windows, etc. Call and tell them what you need...

Yes - try sending your inquiry to Paul - rvintern@gmail.com . I had a couple of good exchanges. Better luck on the phone, though. Best to call as early in the morning as possible. Have the model numbers, size of grill, size of opening for windows and doors, etc. ready when you call or include them in the email.
