WA - shop recommendations

Hello folks, we live near the Seattle area and were wondering if anyone a shop they could recommend for service? We called Poulsboro RV but they require us to leave our Scamp there for several days. All we need is bearing service.

Thanks

No specific recommendations, but packing bearings is a low skill job, which means you could have it done at an independent auto repair shop, a trailer fabrication shop, maybe even a lawnmower shop, especially if you brought in the seals and the grease.

If you need bearings packed or other running gear, go to Les Schwabb.

If you need body work, i recommend Westcraft in Fife. They rebuilt our Casita after a tree fell on it and did excellent work.

At this time of year your going to be waiting days for services at pretty well all the dedicated RV shops.

Les Schwabb would be a good bet.
I mine done last fall at an RV repair shop and had to have redone while traveling. The RV shop tightened the hubs too tight causing bearing to get hot. A random auto repair shop in Bullhead City took care of it. I caught it before the bearings were destroyed.
There wasn't a Les Schwabb store in Bullhead City, or I would have taken it there.
Other options are tire stores or any shop that does brakes.

I used Les Schwab, too, on S. Whidbey. They also sold me my trailer tires. And repaired a flat on my new Subaru (not their tires) at no charge.

You can go to any place that sells or services any kind of trailers, like cargo trailers, flatbeds, boat trailers etc... Probably any auto mechanic can do it too. I did it myself, it's really not that hard to do, messy yes, but not difficult.

I third or fifth or sixth suggest Les Schwab. I just bought my TT tires from Les last month. My tug has had Schwab tires for the past 10 years. I'm one happy camper!

Haven't used them personally, but I know several folks that haven't had very favorable experiences on either service or dealings with Poulsbo RV. FWIW.
I have dealt with Les Schwab for over 40 years and never had any problems with their work.
