Went to Seattle to pick up cushions

I bought a complete set of cushions for a Trillium 4500 from Reid Larsen several months back. I am told they spent about 20 years in storage. They certainly look almost brand new. Since my latest 4500 acquisition had no dinette cushions, and the cushions in Launch Pad are worn out, these will come in handy.

They started out in Corvallis OR. They made their way to Kirkland WA. They were stored there, by my former boss. On Friday I set out to pick them up. This was a totally drama free trip. Other then the border guard at the highway 11 border crossing finding my story lacking in credibility. Therefore my car was searched, a fairly time consuming process.

I drove the Poop Fly, and it served me well, once again. I removed the passenger seat, (the passenger door doesn’t work any how) and the rear bench to make more room. I was even able to see out the windows.

Ahh David - the Poop Fly - had one of those myself, a 1998 I think, but the frame rusted out so I gave it to Teen Challenge in London ON, and got a quite surprising $900 tax receipt from them. that was in '09.

I'm not surprised by the search, I got searched earlier this year (going into the US) because I was alone, had a rusting car, 4 summer tires piled inside, and they went through all my luggage. Do you know going into the US you'd better have all your meds and supplements in original containers (I didn't) or they might be seized? I was given just a warning.

That's funny that the border guard didn't believe you. Obviously not a fiberglass trailer aficionado! Good find.

Dave,
I'm glad those cushions finally will be used. I thought you would be impressed that they are in such good condition. I am amazed you got them in that car and still had room to move and see out.

Just for completeness for this thread, I am including a picture from a previous trip to Seattle for parts.

The poop fly has been retired, and I am now using the Metallic Smurf.
