Wheel Covers

I would like to see a thread of pictures of how folks have dressed up their wheels. I'm tired of the ugly Axle / Bearing Buddy showing and leaking grease ocasionally. If this has already been done, forgive me. I did a lot of searching and couldn't find it.

Happy Spring....thank GOD!

Thanks, that's the kind of thing I'm looking for. Any hints on where to get "moons"?

Lots of places sell baby moons. You can probably find them locally. but HubCab Mike's has a fantastic selection: HubCap Mike's

The problem is, not all wheels are built to accommodate Baby Moons. You need to see if you have the nubs on the inside of the center of the wheel (center circle closest to the bearing)

Thanks Donna, I'll go check my "nubs" as soon as I get dressed. I missed you.

Hi all:
Are the Baby Moon caps deep enough to install and cover over and hide Bearing Buddies?

I hate the look of them......

Thanks, Jake

I have EZ lube's on the Scamp's axle, which is different than Bearing Buddies which are made for boat trailers. But, there's a rubber/metal dust cover that completely covers the bear and zurk. Maybe if hub caps won't fit and you end up painting the wheels (ala Frederick), you'd like to have a cover too. Check out this site, something will probably fit: E-Trailer.com Bearing Covers and Products

Thank you Donna, that helps.
Now i just have to measure the cap size.

I am thinking of painting the wheels as mentioned, and adding Chrome Trim rings.

I have chrome trim rings on mine. I'd like to get chrome covers for the bearings and chrome lug bolts would be cool, but I havn't found a source for those yet.

Yes, these beauty rings are a start. 50c a piece at a yard sale. Someday maybe I'll add some cromed baby moons.

This is my first post here. Hi, y'all! I bought a pair a 7.5" baby moons off of ebay and they would not fit on my 13" wheels with Bearing Buddies. The diameter was perfect but they were not deep enough. Even the old rusted baby moon from my spare wouldn't fit over the Bearing Buddies (and it was a little bit deeper than the new one's I'd bought).

Any suggestions for alternates? Maybe more of a "dog dish" style cap would have sufficient clearance? I'm open to any ideas/suggestions. Thanks!

If they are really Bearing Buddy's and not the other kind that puts the grease in by the inner bearing then just take the Bearing Buddy cap off and put a regular bearing cap on.
