Window guards

Hi Everyone

Has anyone actually made/built rock guards/exterior window covers for their egg..I don't have covers on my windows currently and would like to add one to the back and front. Any ideas on the best material would be appreciated. I had though of plexiglass but would like the guards to completely block out light especially if were having a nice sleep-in, in the morning

Could use house siding with a aluminum frame.

Or do something similar to what Scamp does for the front gravel guard. You can purchase sheets of fiberglass (usually in the bath tools/accessories area) of big box stores. Purchase the trim from either Scamp or J.C.Whitney (or the like) and get the hardware from Scamp or purchase stainless steel hardware from a marine supply.

Great, except I'd probably go with extruded aluminum instead of stainless . . . it's cheaper and more readily available.

If you put clear Lexan in aluminum frames, you could then see through the trailer when on the road.

Fiber Stream put an iconic tinted Plexiglas "Bubble" guard on the big window at the front of the trailer. Mine is cracked, which I sealed with clear lexan caulk, but I've been itching to replace the curved Plexiglas.
