Wow that zep works....

We pick up this 78/79 trillium 4500 had been sitting for years it was in a backyard that was hit hard during hurricane sandy and had never been cleaned. Washed it up with bar keeper and 5 coats if zep.

Looks great! We used it on our dull looking Scamp over 2 years ago and like the results.

I just checked out the Zep website, and they make a BUNCH of cleaners. Which one did you use? I would like to try it on my '84 U-Haul that I bought last week.
Thanks,
Dave

Thanks guys. I cleaned it with bar keepers friend and simple green. Then I used zep wet look 5 coats of it. It starts to look good on the 3rd coat then the 4th looks much better so I left it but woke up the next day and went for five... Lol That last coat made it look great.

Temp?

Hi James, I did not have good luck with mine. What were the weather conditions when you did your cleaning and ZEP. Cloudy? Temperatures? I need to figure out my error!
Thx. Yours looks great!

The days i did it was 75 and sun on and off. also if you only did 1 or 2 coats it looks bad but come 3 or 4 you start to see it take shape.

A key part is the almost dry cloth, we used a well wrong out white magic eraser cloth. You can not leave any drips.... The cloth should be the dampness of a cloth that you might use to wipe a table.

We had the great pleasure to meet Honda03842 at a State Park in Virginia last week. Norm e-mailed directions for using Zap wet-look polish. I followed the direction and I am highly pleased with the results. My 2002 Casita looks new.
Thanks TomB44

Hi Roy,
I washed it well with barkeepers, rinsed well, put 5 layers on, was shiny and all that. BUT....it was sunny and hot, thinking tooo hot, dried very fast, basically finished one coat and could put another on pronto. Maybe needed to dry more, bake more, less sun, less heat,, more love and soft stroking...who knows. Currently it is almost back to the original dirty self!
Cannot seem to get going on doing it all over again! Maybe next year! Thx for asking.
