My 1978 boler 1700 has a large 12 volt converter inset into the wall, I can't see any name plate or other information about its output or any fuses that are replaceable. I am adding a 12 v 60 watt tv, a 60 watt satalite tv reciever pugged into a 400 watt inverter, and will be using a few 20 watt lights. Should I be upgrading this old converter and what should I upgrade to?

Hi Rick,

I would highly recommend upgrading to a proper 3 Stage converter. I bought mine through http://www.bestconverter.com/ . I talked to the tech and he recommended the converter I eventually purchased - he knew what I had in my Trillium and what was on the market to replace it.

Thats a great site as soon as I figure out what I need I will contact them about that, I found a 3 way converter on Ebay as well

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...A:IT&ih=017

This converter is rated at 45 amps I think this is all I would need
TV - 60 watts
satalite 60
lights 60
= 180 / 12 volts = 15 amps

I think this correct, please feel free to correct if its not
