12"x12" Celing Vent needs replacing

Hi all!
A friend emailed me with good news and a request for help...I thought I'd go to the best source of information and see if anyone could suggest some help...

Here's the message I got today...
Hi Bob,
We finally got our '77 13 footer saturday! we are already well under way with projects and have ordered a bunch of needed parts. You're right, we already are the talk of the neighborhood - everyone keeps coming over and wanting the grand tour!

Question, that i'm hoping you can help us with:

We have the 12x12 ceiling vent, that Scamp no longer makes. Do you have any ideas of where i can get all replacement parts for it? The whole thing is just smashed up.

Any ideas?

I'm assuming there should be RV parts stores that would have aftermarket roof vents that would fill the bill but I'm not 100% sure... my Scamp's roof vent is the "escape hatch" size, not as small as this 12"x12" vent on this '77 model.

Anybody have any suggestions?

I see no reason why you can't add/replace your vent with any suitable vent system that's the same size or larger. We replaced the old metal vent and cover with a larger screen and acylic vent cover with just a little roof trimming. We have had no problems in 10 years with it.
