13' Boler - removing door handle

Hi there.

Our door lock is toast (both inside and the handle outside). Once I undid the two bolts that remove the outside and inside handle off, it's left with the actual locking mechanism.

It appears that there are 6 rivots holding this on.

Is this correct? Do I have to drill out the 6 rivots and the mechanism will come away? Also, if so, to re-install a new mechanism, do I have to rivot the new one back on?
