16 'Scamp overhead cupboard problem

The right-side overhead cupboard of my 16' Scamp has gotten wet and the pressboard is coming apart. I would like to either replace or remove the entire cupboard but before I start into it I need to know how the cupboard mounts to the ceiling/roof. Is there is some kind of bolt or screw coming in from the outside of the trailer? Thanks, CharlieVZ

You can buy a new bin directly from Scamp. It may not be on their on line parts store but give them a call as a lot of things they sell do not show up online.

Edit to correct. You will see three caps in a row just above the outside rear window of the trailer. Pop the outside cap off and you will be able to see if its a screw or a rivet holding the bin in place.

Chas
As Carol stated, pop rivet covers off above window and on the roof, they are screwed on

Thanks for the info. Doesn't look like Scamp has the part that's falling apart, but it should be easy enough for me to fabricate. I definitely won't use particle board. However, if the wall covering under the cabinet looks good I'll probably opt to not have the cabinet at all.

Chas, did you call scamp and ask? as I mentioned not everything they have is on their website. Those rear side overhead bins made of particle board are the same ones they are still using today so they have them
