I bought one but haven't gotten around to putting it on yet. It doesn't look all that difficult.

I know PeterH installed a motor to deploy the front landing gear on his and Lynne's 5th wheel, but I can't find the post. Google is giving me fits!
On Edit: Found it! http://www.fiberglassrv.com/forums/f...tml#post182423

I
converted mine years ago by adding a small 50 buck winch from harber frieght and a small roller chain to the works . Works fine can take it in or out of gear Will look for pictures.

They're on ebay right now for $160, better jump on it. I just bought one.

THe same place also has spring loaded pins for the legs for $15, that I'm pretty sure will work. I bought them, too. I'm tired of the hairpin clips.

I bought the spring loaded pins but the pin was too fat. I need to get a 1/2 drill bit and ream out all the holes.
Jared how is the interior of yours coming along?

PS I just looked at the one on ebay and it doesn't come with the gear box. Mine has a reduction gearbox that costs extra. Not positive but I'm pretty sure you need it.

Cordless drill. Many other uses for it while it is along.

THe gearbox is already on the camper. Look at where the handle goes in. From what I've read, this kit should bolt the motor right to it.

Jared I think you're right. I bought mine from a nice gentleman on this site for a ridiculously cheap price and all the parts/gearbox, etc came with it.

Ah. I looked at it before, but couldn't justify it for $350. $160 brings it into the "buy now" category, though.
I haven't messed with the camper yet, I'm about to unload the car from vacation, then back the camper up to the house to unload all the guts into the house so I have room to work on it. A new 20 gallon water tank and pd4045 are en route to me.

I'd highly recommend the charge wizard with the pd4045, it boosts it to 4 levels of charge including the desulfication option while it's sitting unused. I'm getting ready to buy top of the line AGM batteries and would hate to burn them up before their time.
