1968 Boler Help!!

Hi I'm John from Toronto and recently purchased a Boler. I'm having a hard time figuring out if these brackets attached to my rear sliding windows ( 1 on each side) were original from factory or if someone else installed them, and whats the intended use? Thanks

Hmmmm those look all the world like Disneyesque curtain rod holders that were repurposed out of some sort of of a pipe hold down strap.

Without question those are NOT ORIGINAL, some owner along the way has added those.

Greetings John. Definitely home made curtain rod holders I think. Good looking Boler. Interesting side windows. Haven't seen those before.

That was my first thought, too, but why is there only one on each side? A side-to-side clothes line, perhaps?... The hex head screw looks unexpectedly stout.

Take it off, whatever it is. The window won't fall out.

I have seen similar windows on a number of the very early 1968 Boler's, I think these might have been the original windows used before the switched to the Jalousie windows.

Thank you all for your replies and comments. These brackets are bolted into the rear frames of the sliding windows above the screened portion of the window on either side of the trailer. These brackets are in so solid you could hang a side of beef from it. I have yet to figure out what the usage of these brackets are for, my thought was maybe a child's hammock could be hung from there while table is in bed position. Its a Mystery to me.

Regards
John
