1976 Boler Suburban Furnace Problem

I am attempting to startup a Suburban furnace model GT6 3A in my Boler. I have the furnace out of the trailer and have separated the combustion chamber from the control unit. There appears to be a small white metal tube missing. I believe it goes from the small fitting on the face of the control unit in between the temperature control dial and the off/on/pilot dial to the pilot mounting plate just in front of the pilot burner. What does this tube do and can I have one made. Does anyone know the size of the tube and fittings. The furnace is in great shape overall and I would like to salvage it. Don

Sounds like thermocouple. Shuts gas off if pilot goes out.

suburban furnace in boler

I can't find anyone who will work on my furnace or who will sell me any parts. I need the temperature coil and bulb that comes out of the right side of the control module and the tube and fittings that go from between the temperature control and the pilot knob to the pilot mounting plate. I'll go to the U.S. if necessary. I live 150 kms. east of Toronto. I do not want to replace the furnace, I want an original restoration. Don
