1976 Trillium 1300 - Water Tank

It looks like I will have to replace the 17x14x10 fresh water tank in my 1300. The old one has the fill and supply connections on the front end and the vent and drain on the back. The only new ones that I can find have all the connections on one end. Any comments or suggestions for a Canadian supplier. ( The local RV dealer wants $75.00 for one by Laventure Products through RVPartsNation Mfg #T161) I can deal, with the fill, vent, and supply on one end but I am reluctant to drill a new hole for the drain.

Tank Position

Hi Lloyd,

It looks like the tank would work if you faced the openings
toward the rear of the trailer. Of course you have to extend
the fill hose and the hose to your pump.

You could also face the tank openings toward the front
of the trailer and run the drain tubing next to the tank to
the existing hole.

Another option is to put some wood (plywood 3/4" ?)
underneath the tank to raise it enough to run a drain hose
under the tank to the existing drain hole.

When you finish it would be great if you would post some pictures
of the completed installation. I re-secured the tank in my rig
and noticed thar there is plenty of room to change the routing of
the hoses/drain.

BTW PPLMotorhomes has a better price.

Thanks Larry, I see no other options either. I was hoping to find a tank with the drain on the other end. There seems to be a couple of inches leeway in each direction.

I bought one just like the one in the picture and it worked out well.
I did have to plumb it differently.
