Haven't been around these parts for a while. I am itching to snowbird out of the north in February and remembered that we were having problems with water temperature in September before winter hit. Both in the shower and at the kitchen sink after the water heater pilot was lit and the thermostat set to high. The heater appeared to be operating correctly as it had before but after and hour or two of heating the water was only somewhat warm. Managed to take a shower in it but it was not the experience it was before and at the sink the water was not hot enough to shave.
There are no
leaks in the heater, the pilot seems to operate properly. We could hear the burner cutting in and out. Has me puzzled where to start or what to look for. Help?
