1985 U Haul with wheels w bad camber

Can anyone offer advice? I have a 13 foot U Haul trailer with uneven tire wear .. way worn on inside. Do the wheels adjust? Has anyone had a similar problem with a U Haul trailer?

No adjustment, you better check the bearings in the hubs,they are sealed bearings and you'll have to check them by jacking up a wheel, turn it and feel for any roughness or play. There may be wear in the axle causing this tire problem. How old are the tires? A little bearing wear may be difficult to detect. We used special equipment on big trucks that had sealed bearing hubs that would detect wear that we normally couldn't feel. New hubs are available from Uhaul. Bob

My only other suggestion would be to measure the camber side to side to see if one side is bent.

I'd use an inclinometer to measure angle of the square tubing of the axle on each side, then measure the vertical surface of the wheel hub. The axles are slightly bent in the middle to give a slight camber, so measure each side separately.

If the axle is bent, you may need to replace it, which is not all bad as you can add brakes easily,too.
