1byone Antenna

Has anyone out there had any experience with the 1byone antenna ? One area we camp at is over 50 miles from the nearest TV transmitter. The antenna that came with our 17SD wasn't adequate so I upgraded to a King which was a little better but not much. What I've read about the 1byone looks like what I've been looking for. Any of the suppliers are currently out of stock for the model designed for RV's but there is a model made for marine application. I tried contacting the company with no success. I use the TV mostly for local weather and news, WiFi is usually not available and cell service is non-existant and I don't want to go to satellite.

I've tried 3 or 4 of those flat flexible antennas and none of them did very well. More directional than I expected and did poor with the solid shiplap wood walls of my 1902 house.

Might work better if laminated for outdoor use and stuck on a long pole, though.

We don't have a tv in our camper but use a Mohu Sky here at home. Its fairly small and would be easy to set up at a campsite. The mfr specs indicate a sixty mile range but we actually get decent reception on stations up to seventy five miles out with their optional amplifier (USB powered from the tv).

I checked their website this AM and it appears they now have a newer model with greater range than the Sky. Their tech dept was helpful with my questions before I made a purchase so you might want to give them a call first. Mohu - Indoor and Outdoor HDTV Antennas
