2003 Silverado Brake Wiring

We just got back from the dealer who performed the installation of our brake controller. I had asked the forum about the circuit breaker as we could not figure out where it was to be installed. Well come to find out our 2003 Silverado did not need the circuit breaker at all and it is a good thing because the one we were sent was for a Ford not a Chevy!! And if that wasn't bad enough the wiring harness that they sent was for the 2001-2002 Silverado :o The dealer had the correct parts and fixed us right up but what a mess we could have had if Glen and I had attempted the so called "plug and play" installation ourselves ( being mechanically impaired as we are). So our experience with Rjay's which started off so well has ended on a sour note. We were very specific when we ordered this setup as to what we were driving and what we were pulling. They assured us that we needed these parts. Now I have to send them back and hopefully we will get a refund. I guess they just figured that since we didn't know any better they could pawn those incorrect parts off on us.

But our brake is in and ready to roll when we pick up the Scamp. My advice to anyone ordering wiring etc for the 2003 Silverado is emphasize, explain and repeat the fact that it is a 2003 and make sure you get the right stuff. Thanks for listening to me rant!

Glad it worked out

2003 is a change from 2001 2002 model . i will just have to pull the fuse on mine and see what really does not turn back on under the hood in the fuse box to you have a trailer fuse installed in the foward inboard position it is a square fuse .
