Hello, is it possible to fix floor rot at the doorway from underneath? The floor is solid everywhere else except right at the door opening edge on the left when looked at from outside. I looked underneath and the wood has rotted out on one side. Has anyone had any success repairing this without tearing up the floor?
I was just about to re-do the wiring and found the same thing...the plywood under all 4 cubbies has rotted. I must have water coming in from somewhere because it's wet. My initial thought (after finding the leak and repairing it) is to cut the thin coating of fibreglass that covers the plywood. Remove the rotten plywood, replace the plywood and fibreglass over it again. The fibreglass coating doesn't seem to have any structural value, so I think this may be my only option. Not sure if I have the guts to start this, but if I do I'll let you know how it goes.
