The fact that this furnace consumes no electricity is what first got me interested in Trilliums.

It should be noted that there is an optional blower fan though.

I stand corrected. Now I am even more interested in getting myself a Trillium. Our Tent trailer has a furnace and requires full voltage or will not opperate as mentioned above.

Thanks for the education.

The fact that the furnace consumes no electricity comes at a cost. It is somewhat less efficient. The claimed 7000 BTU output may be optimistic, or assumes that the blower fan is installed.

These furnaces are not available today. As I understand it, the surface temp is too high.

I think I can safely assume mine never came with a heater? And maybe this electric one was installed afterward? Have no idea but it's not a gas heater. These are the best pics I can find for right now.

Dave - here are the pics. I hope they attach fine?

Thanks for looking!

I am assuming that is in the gaucho bench, beside the door. I have never seen one like that before.

Yes, that is the gaucho on the right when entering the trailer. I wonder if anyone else has one like this.

Thanks Doug - is yours electric or propane? I'm sure ours is original - not much has been changed on the interior or even on the exterior.

In later model Trillium 4500's, I have seen a forced air furnace under the dinette seat on the passenger side. On later model 1300's I have seen a forced air Coleman furnace below the closet, making the closet shorter. It also stuck out, kinda looking like the closet was pregnant.

Neither of these links show the Coleman Furnace, just the location for it.
