AC power wire location under Scamp rat fur ?

I want to add a 100 watt solar panel to my Scamp 13' roof top. I asked Scamp to prep the trailer for AC, but do not intend to add it. I figure I can use the AC's romex buried under the rat fur to bring power down from the roof top via a small hole in my roof vent's side. I can feel the wire with my fingers up to the where the ceiling levels off. Then it gets uncertain. I first thought of energizing the circuit and tracing it with my handy circuit tester, but I am not sure how Scamp terminated the conductors and with all that aluminized mylar insulation up there it seemed problematic. Before I rip down a large area of fur it seems smart to ask if any of you have made this journey before me. Does the romex leave the side wall and travel straight across the flat ceiling next to the thickened fiberglass AC prep? Seems like it might. How far does it go across the ceiling?

Too bad I don't have a metal detector.

Thanks for your patience with my questions. I will try Scamp on the phone, but that doesn't always work.

Keep warm this week, john

Can you use a carpenters stud finder that senses wiring to find where the wire is.

Find a Low Voltage guy like me with a circuit toner, connect it to the end you see in the breaker panel and you can go right to the spot that it ends. Really!

Forgive my ignorance, but if the wire you describe is in fact something you ordered from Scamp as "for the A/C", wouldn't it terminate at a point in your 110/120 breaker box marked "A/C"?

If it's the ceiling end you are trying to find, try removing the inside trim from the roof vent and look behined that. It's usually tucked in there. Sometimes you have to remove the entire vent to find it.
