I just ran across this and will add a bit.
I have done some glass repair and if you don't feather the edges at least a couple inches back and then fill the feathered edges with glass mat etc, it will be prone to future cracking..
If you haven't done that you can always but a 4" wide strip of glass mat on the inside..
Probably would be a good idea anyway.

It is looking good though for a major rebuild.. Keep up the good work.

i'm very impressed. fiberglass is amaising stuff!

you get an "attaboy" for that one.
if you collect three hundred "attaboy"s you get a free donut and coffee.

but be carefull,,,,one "awshit" wipes out all your "attaboy"s

If that's the case, about the only thing I'd ever win would be the donut hole.

Nearly finished with the fiberglass repairs inside and out. Just a have a couple spots on one of the window edges and above the door. I've been adding a thin layer of Bondo to level things out. I plan to block sand it after applying sandable pimer.

"AOL"?

That's a new one for me, forum shorthand-wise...translation, please!

AOL = Absent Without Leave (in other words... ran off)

It's a "military term"... but we didn't give him permission to "leave" us

Yes...

Actually, "MIA" might be more apropos in this case since it looks like our egg-fixin' friend is Missing In Action!

Sorry for being gone so long. The weather has been wet and cold and I'm a sissy now. I nearly have it ready to paint. I white primered the top half but the bottom needs a few more pits and holes filled. I think the repaired areas look pretty good although shiny paint will probably show otherwise. Fixed a few sags that were already there but I know it won't be perfect. My wife kindly reminded me that I'm not that tall so I won't have to look at them.
