Has anyone ever changed their front bunk into a small mini dinette..? I have been trying to come up with an idea on how I could make it so it could be a table and or a bunk, whichever one is needed at a certain moment.. Does anyone have any suggestions.. or has it ever been done..?

Thanks!

Until someone who's done this mod jumps in, here's one discussion for you to read:

Mcnick:

A lot of people on this forum have done it. I believe Gina did it to her first Burro. We did it to our Burro that we previously owned. There is an image of what we did farther down on this thread: http://www.fiberglassrv.com/board/index.ph...6&hl=CindyL

The Burro has two fiberglass storage cupboards up front, as is common in all 13' trailers. These became the bases for our chairs. Our Burro covers were plywood, so we fastened the chairs to that plywood. We bought old captain's chairs at Goodwill, took off the legs, added swivels and attached it to the plywood. We bought a wooden TV tray, took off the legs, and attached the original dinette stand to it (We chose to not have a dinette in the back then and simply used the top for the bed and took it down everyday.) and then attached this to the floor between the two chairs. Then we bought chair cushions at Walmart. Voila - cushy, swivel chairs at a small dinette up front.

If you search this forum, you will find lots of images of different ways people have done this mod. There are clever mods on the table, portapotties built into the storage below, etc. Browse and search, and you will find lots of ideas as you think about doing yours. And post pix for us when you get started.

Yes, I did the mod too. It was fairly easy.

Saga here

The new owners really liked it and thought it was great that they didn't have to do the bed up every night.

You will too.
