Amerigo Window Interior Trim Options?

Have any Amerigo F16 owners found a good replacement for the plastic interior window trim? It's stapled to the wood frame around the window & removing/reusing it likely won't work as it's pretty brittle.

I've looked at Vintage Trailer supply and the local big box stores with no good replacement found yet....anyone find something that worked for you?

Hello Steve,

I've found Sealsdirect very helpful.

door seals, rubber seals, rubber extrusions, window rubbers by seals direct

Or www.trimco.com Good luck finding what you need!

JUST what we were discussing ten minutes ago! Paul managed to "destroy" every plastic trim piece when disassembling...to be fair, he said "some" of them were already cracked.

Paul was thinking of making wood corner inserts, using paintable caulk, painting the wood, and just butting the wallboards to the edge, without using a seal, per se.

But we'll look at the sites suggested.

I had some time to kill before a meeting today so I stopped in at Lowes to walk down every isle searching & I think I may have found something that will work. It's one of the parts of a porch screening system that snaps into a track by New York Wire. It's very flexible plastic that can easily make the radius bend needed, it's 1 1/2" x 1/8" and it comes in white and brown (although the brown looks more terratone/bronze to me). An 8' length is under $4.00 so it's cheap enough. There are some extra ribs in the center that should come off easily with a trip across my router table. I plan on using brass screws to attach them instead of the staples Amerigo used originally so if they can be removed in the future if needed.

That's some nice-looking material...will have to check that out. Probably prefer the white, if Paul thinks he can work with it. Definitely screws, not staples.

Took the center 2 ribs off with the router, I'll use a utility knife to trim the one extra edge lip off when it's time to install them. These are about an 1/8' wider than the original but I think they'll work fine.

They are even more flexible now with the ribs removed so making the corner bends is no problem. Since it's designed for outdoor use it should be good as far as UV exposure goes.
