Hi: I am having new plexiglass put in my windows. I removed the screens which need to be redone also. Does anyone know what the name of the tape that goes under the frame to keep it in place? I was thinking butyl putty tape maybe. It was terrible to remove having been there since 1973 and also having to remove the caulk that someone put around everything too. They also caulked around the middle strip but since i'm removing the wood inside and putting in new that will be gone also.

I would appreciate any help on this. Also the window aluminum push outs that are attached to the windows are broken on a couple . Any idea where to find these?

Butyl putty tape is the name. Available at RV dealers. Beware that they also sell a grey non-butyl putty tape that looks similar, but is not as good. Real butyl will stretch into hair thick strings when stretched.

Janine, any luck on finding those alum. push outs for the windows. I need one...if I find any or someone that will make them I will let you know. I have a 74 that looks just like yours on the outside anyway.
Just got it so haven't started any projects yet. Fun times ahead!
