Anybody know where I can get window screens?

Hi all, I realized that we are missing the screen for the side slider window on our 13' scamp. I called Scamp and they only sell the whole window as a package, not just the screen.
Anybody have any ideas where I can buy one? I think it would be hard to make something that would work myself, because of the rounded side.
Thanks!

Did you ask them who manufactured the windows in your trailer? You may be able to get direct from the source.

I would ask Scamp they should be able to tell you based on the year your Scamp was built.

If you go to the Scamp store and click on Hehr under manufacturers, it brings up one slider window. If that does not look right check the other manufacturers. Quick link to current page:

I don't know if this will help, but I had screens custom made for a trailer at a store called, Brinson's in Plains, MT. They had the aluminum for the frame in two colors, white or metal. I gave them the dimensions and they cut and fitted them and then put the screen fabric in. It was very inexpensive. I had five windows done and the materials plus labor was only $130.00. The only down side was they did not carry the springs to hold it in place. You can purchase those at Lowe's and if you get it to Brinson's, they will put it into the screen for you. Hope that will help you. :O)

Matt, what I did was cut the screen to fit the the trailer window, plus some, then attach the grabbing side of velcro to them and just stick them to the rat fur. They are easy to detach to close or open the windows AND I don't have to worry about losing them on the road.........an easy fix.

Were yours originally mounted on the outside? Mine are mounted inside so it never occurred to me so are not and people might loose screens on the road...

My '84 didn't have screens at all, so I am assuming from looking at the windows that they were on the outside.

My '85 Scamp 13 has radius windows with inside screens. They're made by Hehr (I assume since they have the Hehr logo tag on the glass). The screens are half window size, have tubular aluminum frames, & appear to be held in the window with spring clips at the bottom. The screen fabric (nylon, polyester, ??) is held in the frames by what appears to be standard round rubber (synthetic?) spline. You might contact Hehr to see if the screens only can be purchased...

Here are views from inside & part of the screen from outside with window open (showing the spline)
