I have Poli-glow to use on my trailer. I need to start at the top since the prep stuff takes off the Poli-glow so has to be done first and if I did the sides, drips when I did the top might take the polish off the sides. But I'm not sure how to do an effective job on the top from a ladder. Any suggestions?

Bobbie

Mix one bottle of 3M heavy duty fibreglass cleaner with copious amounts of elbow grease and one or two step ladders. Apply in the shade!

I used a sponge mop-put the polish on the sponge and stand on ladder and apply the polish. I used a clean sponge on the mop to shine top. Hope this helps.

Bobbie Mayer do as richard c said and make sure you put this on in the shade or wait for a cloudy day. This stuff drys fast. I put 4 coats on my 13' Scamp last year and it still looks like new. Poli-Glow works GREAT. http://www.fiberglassrv.com/board/index.ph...amp;hl=poliglow

Bobbie,

As a 5'2" vertically challenged woman, I had wondered the same when I scrubbed and polished my trailer 3 weeks ago.

My husband has a "little giant" ladder. I was able to adjust the ladder to the correct height, climb and straddle the ladder with 1 leg on each side leaning over and doing 1 half of the top at a time. Took 2 days to wash and polish (I used NuFinish...didn't work) and now 3 weeks later all my efforts were to no avail because the little bit of shine I did have is now gone. I KNEW I should have just polished it right the first time with Poli-glow!!

Maybe in the fall when the weather cools and we get ready to put her away for the winter...then she'll be like new when she emerges in the fall.

Good luck!

It says you can apply it in the sun but it dries in a minute.

Anyway, I have the Poli-glow prep stuff, and using a mop on a long handle should work. I'm planning to clean the trailer on Friday and apply the stuff Saturday and Sunday when it is overcast.

Don't forget before and after pictures! I have a Poliglow kit in my shed but just haven't had a free weekend tackle my Trill.
