Apps

I posted this on another thread and a few people there found it useful. Maybe some did not see it there, so I brought it over here incase others would be interested. If others have apps they like to use, maybe we could list them here.

I created a folder on my phone (Android) called TRAVEL. In it are all the apps I used when traveling x-country. Here's a list (they were all FREE).

GasBuddy,
Good Sam Camping,
Big Truck Stops,
iExit,
Love's Connect, (Love's truck stops)
MapQuest,
Maps,
myPilot, (Pilot Truck stops)
Packing Lite List,
RVParky,
Scout,
TripIt,
TruckSmart,
UrbanSpoon.

Some may not be all that great, but a couple were (RVParky and UrbanSpoon). Made life on the road easier.

I have an iPhone, but also use a folder called Travel. That's where I have things like
Yelp
GasBuddy
RoadNinja
Kayak
TripTracker
Ping4

My Campground folder has:
Woodalls
AllTrails
ParkFinder
GS Camping (Good Samaritan)
Ultimate Military Campground
C-RV Military
PocketRanger

And now, my new favorite CG guide.....Drumroll please..........

Alice, I am new with a smart phone...DUHHH...it's smarter than me. I would like some apps but do not know what some of these on the list are for. Some are self explainitory, like Gas Buddy. Others not so much... I would like one for National Forest Campgrounds etc. Thanks.

We have most of the Apps so far described with the addition of the following

Allstays Camp and RV - camp ground follower
Spending Tracker - record of monthly expenses
Passport America - half price camping, excellent site
Nook
Kindle
Emergency Alerts - Presidential alerts and alerts for life and property
All Recipes - no cookbooks in our Scamp
Tunein Radio - virtually all radio stations over the Internet
Ink Pad - Text Lists

Norm, Passport America wants you to become a member. Is there a fee? Do you find many campgrounds that honor the discounts?
