I appreciate the suggestions from both of you.

Got back from a shake-down cruise last night. We tried out that awning - slid it along just fine (thanks to the helpful suggestions). So - now the question is - how do people get it to set up taut and tidy? We had several inches of awning and a bit of rope hanging out each end of the channel with no clues about what to do with them. One end waved about in front of a window. The fabric didn't want to pull tight no matter how much we tightened the ropes to the poles. There was a definite sag remaining which would allow water to pool. Fortunately we took it down again as we had the loudest thunderstorm I have ever heard on Saturday night. Upon getting home we learned that there had been a tornado not very far away! Do you have to take the awning down when it is windy? If we got a bag awning would it mount on the same channel?

I would suggest that as a good idea putting the awning in when windy. Saves a lot of things.

Does anybody here know of where I can order a new canvas for this type of Camper?
Don,
Have you tried Hughes RV in Orangeville?
