Awning fabric rejuvenating

The awning fabric on my new "vintage" camper (1988 Gypsy) is in good shape for its age, but is a bit "crispy".
Has anyone discovered any way to paint it with a resin or something that would rejuvenate it, before it gets torn or rotten?

I took my awning off last year and gave it a real good cleaning and then put some 303 Aerospace Protection on it. It seemed to give it new life and so far has lasted really well - dirt wipes right off the awning.

Thanks so much for asking this question. Mr. 2yax and I were just talking about Li'l Scamp's awning. We've used 303 on our kayaks and were wondering about its usefulness on Li'l Scamp's awning. So, I reckon we'll give it a shot before next trip on Memorial Day. Hope yours turns out well, too.

Glad it worked for you. You can thank the folks at MaxxiFan as they where the ones who sent me a sample to use. As far as how long it will standing up, I put it on mine very early last spring and did lots of camping in the rain last summer. This Easter I was out camping and packed my awning away very very wet and forgot all about it. Pulled the awning out at a meet this week-end and the water dumped out on me and mildew was already on the awning. Got home and used a car washing brush and gave it a light brush over and quick rinse and it all came off. Now drying off.
Think I will apply another coat this year just to be sure.
