Very High Bond tape.
Google 3M VHB tape and look for some sort of retailers search function to find a store near you.

How did you attach it? Looks like some trim (maybe?) was used to keep it up??

I tried vhb tape on the ensolite, it didn't work. I ended up attaching it with a high strength adhesive. The trim is just slid on.

Glen's photo shows a great set-up for the burners. (I assume it came with the trailer) When the metal cover is in the up position it acts as a backsplash. When in the down position it covers the burners and creates counter space.

I've often thought that I could use a deep cookie sheet or roasting pan and adapt it for this purpose. Here's one from Walter Drake Gas Stove Extra Deep Burner Covers - Burner Covers - Walter Drake I haven't found the perfect one yet.

Here is a splatter guard you might consider Splatter Guard - Splatter Shield - Cleaning & Repair - Walter Drake.

Please note: Contact paper has an adhesive that attracts insects. I found this out from a Container Store employee. That is why they do not carry it.

My vote YES for a backsplash. The compound corner was real hard to do tho. Peel and stick from Home Depot. Now just need to find some moulding to finish the edges.

Gilda:

My cooktop has a lid that acts as a splash guard. Haven't cooked anything inside yet.

I want to add an Ikea magnetic knife bar but can't figure out how to add it directly to the fiberglass. I thought I could JB Weld it to some sort of backsplash. Might have to epoxy some wood something or other and attach it to that. What is called "tabbing in"???
