Pulled the cover off the Burro in preparation for the trip to the Keys next week and find that there are patches of green stuff all over her, mostly on the roof and about a fourth of the way down from the roof. Want to clean her up before we pull out so what is the best cleaning solution/product for accomplishing this?
Also what can I do to prevent this from happening again?

i think your refering to 'the green stuff' as pollen maybe? I use a good car wash soap with some bleach in it..... I am sure there is a good RV type soap too.....

Pollen maybe, but I had a cover over the trailer. I was thinking of the same exact thing, using a car wash soap with some bleach but didn't know if I would hurt the fiberglass. Can you wax the trailer like a car to help protect it?

Oh yes.. wax your trailer! there is alot of good waxes out there..... I think there is an rv wax + cleaner... which is good.... other good waxes are Nu-finish and Mothers......
make sure your trailer is of course out of the sun.. i am sure you know that...
If you were in Oregon, I'd say it was moss....the only thing bleach will do to the gelcoat is remove whatever wax you have on it...along with the green stuff. Be sure to use a diluted bleach solution too....and watch out for any rubber parts, bleach isn't good for rubber.

I would say this is more like algae, it isn’t thick or slimy, just green. Which is why I was going to use the bleach solution. As far as sun goes there basically isn’t any at our house due to the massive oak trees on the property.
We just washed ours with "gone in 30 seconds" (available at harware stores) which is a must have miracle solution for the green stuff that is on everything here in the Pacific NW.
I dont know about the wax though, our trailer needed a good wax job before we did it.
