I just purchased a 1988 Bigfoot used to own a Boler I know that they could not leak at seams as I have seen a 1968 Boler without liner and there is no way they could leak All bigfoots are siliconed at all the seams can or will they leak there ,has anyone ever had a Bigfoot inside walls off and seen how the two parts are joined ,Silicone works but it looks terrible,Looks much better with just the seam joiner..

Rick, the upper shell overlaps the lower shell at the belly band. The sealant provides added protection to the belly band once it's in place and finishes it off nicely but I'd bet it would be OK without it...short term..... Somewhere out there in internet land, there is a cut a way view of the construction. Seems to me I also saw a cut a way prop at an RV show years ago.
