Thanks,
I guess that means it's more appropriate for a couple chihuahuas, as opposed to my 2 greyhounds
Maybe, but my two chihuahua's weigh four and five pounds respectively.I would love to have them sleep on one of the bunks, but their used to sleeping on the bed with us.Two dogs.two adults on a not so big boler bed...lol.
I'm surprised it isn't more than that. I'd imagine it would be fairly simple to add some support to it, though. In our Trillium, I've been more concerned about the stupid leg system being knocked out by accident than collapsing from the weight (see related post).

I slept on mine for months (180 lbs) before building a rear bunk. The plywood was sagging end-to-end, so I reinforced it, but then it started sagging in the middle. I, too, was more concerned about knocking a pole loose than anything actually breaking.
I wouldn't be as concerned about the weight limit on the top bunk as much as the danger to the poor person on the bottom bunk if the top fell Besides the bottom looks pretty claustrophobic to me!
