After reading several threads, I am thinking of caulking the seams. A couple of questions for those that have already done this....
1. What did you clean the seam with first?
2. What type of caulking? what colour?
3. Can you get away with NOT painting it and it still looks decent?
3. Technique you used? any advice in how to apply?

elgin, from what I remember, folks have had success with filling the gaps with latex caulk, then dabbing at the seams with dampened paper towels to create a similar texture as the walls. Someone who's actually done it, should probably tell you the steps.

But, one of the neatest mods I've seen done is not hiding the seams making them part of a theme. Check out Jay580s cool seam treatment, click here: FINALLY... I made peace with my seams!

I did mine with latex caulk, then put the seam tape over it to keep the original look. And it is all painted.
